Every once in a while, we talk to or meet with a potential custom furniture client who will ask us something like, “Do you make custom [fill-in-the-blank type of furniture]?”
They may be asking about a specific type of furniture that they don’t currently see in our online portfolio, or they may be asking about a style of furniture that is a bit out of the ordinary.
Here’s the thing that’s important to understand: When you work with an experienced custom furniture maker, they can build pretty much anything you have in mind. So, just because you don’t see an example of the exact type of piece you’re looking for on a company’s website doesn’t mean they can’t build it. They can likely deliver exactly what you’re looking for—even if it isn’t the type of piece they typically do.
As you look through the Three Pines portfolio, you may notice that a lot of our projects were made in more traditional styles with clean lines, such as Craftsman and farmhouse styles. It just so happens that a lot of our clients appreciate these styles and have homes in which these styles of furniture fit. However, we are happy to produce custom furniture for San Diego clients who like pieces that lean in a modern or urban direction.
We are also open to completely unique pieces that don’t fit cleanly into one type of furniture. For example, we have completed custom dog kennels that double as side tables, as well as a custom desk that is also a display case. We love helping our clients come up with creative pieces and unique solutions that they can’t find elsewhere!
When you work with Three Pines for your custom furniture piece, we will collaborate with you on the design. We will provide you with a 3D rendering of your piece so you can see what it will look like, and we can make any changes to it prior to the start of construction. We won’t start building until you are completely satisfied with the design. We can also help you source the perfect wood for your custom furniture piece and even mix up a custom stain color if we need to.
Local delivery within the San Diego area is included with the price of your custom furniture piece.
We’d love to hear your ideas for a custom furniture piece you want for your San Diego home! Even if another custom furniture maker has told you they are unable to build what you want or have tried to talk you out of your ideas, our talented team almost certainly can give you the custom furniture piece you’re looking for!
