Closet Becomes a Built In TV Nook for San Diego Homeowner

This San Diego family wanted to make better use of their guest bedroom closet. We constructed a built-in piece that converted the closet into a TV nook, but still provided areas to hang clothes and store other items. Our solution makes full use of the available space and provides ample storage to keep the room feeling organized and uncluttered.

This project includes high-quality drawers made from solid Maple with smooth-operating slides, and drawer boxes with traditional dovetail joinery. The cabinet door profiles were made to perfectly match the existing cabinets found throughout the rest of the home. The system was painted the same white as the current furniture in the room, but has some wood accents that provide a warm, custom feel. The wood top was crafted from beautiful Ambrosia Maple that was treated for durability and moisture resistance.
