At Three Pines Wood Co., we build a lot of custom dining tables for homes in San Diego—probably more than any type of furniture piece. One of the reasons for their popularity is likely because dining tables can be “signature pieces” in a home. They are substantial in size and are typically placed in a prominent area of the home. They make a statement like not many other pieces of furniture can. Needing a Specific Size of Dining Table

We had a client come to us a while back looking for a custom dining table that was taller than standard. A tall dining table might not seem like something that would be hard to find in stores, but it’s actually virtually impossible to find! Pretty much all dining tables sold in stores and online will be 28” to 30” tall. (Unless you want a “bar height” table, which will be 41” to 43” tall).

If you want a table that’s in between standard height and bar height, you won’t find one if you’re only looking in furniture stores.

Our clients were taller than average people, and wanted a dining table that worked for them—not just for the average height people that most dining tables are built for. We were able to build them a custom dining table in the exact dimensions they wanted. And since our tables are built to last a lifetime, they’ll never have to search for another dining table again!

Similarly, we’ve had other clients who need dining tables to fit rooms in their homes that didn’t have the typical dimensions of a dining room. They either had a dining room that was exceptionally large and needed a large table to fill the space, or they had a dining room that was very narrow and needed a table that was proportionally narrow.
