Three Pines Wood Co. is now taking orders for custom Adirondack chairs. This classic style of outdoor chair is great for lounging on your front porch, back deck, or by the pool. They are comfortable, but also stylish, which makes them a great addition to any San Diego, Ramona, or Poway home.
Even if you didn’t know what it was called, you’ve likely seen or even sat in an Adirondack chair before. The characteristics of an Adirondack chair are a tall, slatted back, wide arm rests, and a seat that is lower in the back than in the front. The name is derived from the Adirondack Mountain region, where the chairs were invented more than 100 years ago.
They’re so popular that home improvement stores sell chairs in this style made of plastic. Unfortunately, the plastic varieties don’t tend to last more than a season or two, as they are often made of cheap materials that break down after being exposed to the sun for too long.
Sturdy, Custom Adirondack Chairs That Last!
At Three Pines, we use only the finest hardwoods and quality craftmanship. With just a little care, your Adirondack chairs should last a lifetime!
Since all our pieces are made to order, we can add custom features to your Adirondack chairs. For example, if you like to sit on your front porch with a glass of wine, we can cut a hole in one of the arm rests to hold your wine glass. Another option is to have your name or initials carved into the chair backs, or maybe something like “His” and “Hers.” Want to make your Adirondack chair a rocking chair? That’s an option too.
You can also select the type of wood and stain color you want for your chairs. If you need help choosing wood that’s suitable for outdoor use, we can certainly help you with that. If you want the chairs to match other patio furniture you have, we can do that as well. Any stained wood chairs will be finished with a protective oil or sealer so they look great for many years to come.
Another option is to have your chairs painted a custom color. Adirondack chairs look great in bright, fun colors, as well as in white. Using a high-gloss outdoor paint is recommended, so they’re easy to wipe down when they get a little dusty.
